LOCAL RULES


1. Out of Bounds

Over the boundaries of the course as defined by the inside of the fence posts, holes 1-9;
Curley’s yard and wall between the 3rd and 13th fairways and adjoining green keepers’ car park as defined by white stakes;
On or over the service road on holes 10-18, with the exception of the teeing areas on the 10th, 16th, 17th & 18th;
The practice ground area to the right of the 18th fairway, defined by white boundary line;
Under or beyond the innermost point of the railing at the back of the 18th green and the clubhouse enclosure;


2. Penalty Ares (Rule 17):

All drains, wells, ponds and permanent water areas are penalty areas (defined by yellow stakes), or lateral penalty areas (defined by red stakes/lines).

Note: there is no relief without penalty from concrete ducting in penalty areas.

Hole 18:

As defined by red stakes with black tops, from the corner of the dog-leg to the putting green only, Rule 17 allows for relief to be taken within two club lengths in the general area on the opposite side to where the ball last crossed the penalty area, that is equidistant to the hole.


3. Immovable Obstructions (Rule16.1):

All artificial immovable objects are deemed immovable obstructions and relief may be taken, without penalty under rule 16.1.

Sprinkler Heads

Relief may be taken under rule 16.1b if the sprinkler head is on the direct line of play and within two club-lengths of the putting green and within two club-lengths of the ball.


4. Ground Under Repair - No Play Zones (Rule 16.1f)

Play from Ground Under Repair (GUR) is prohibited and full relief must be taken.


5. Embedded ball (Rule 16)

Relief under Rule 16.3 allows for free relief to be taken when a player's ball is embedded in the General Area

Pace of Play

Any group losing a hole should call the following group through immediately. Any group losing a ball must immediately invite the following group to play and if the ball is not found by the time the following group are abreast, allow that group to play through.
